Here is this week's color palette, which I tried my hardest to follow. It is no easy task for me to restrain myself from all the bright colors that I love, but something about this palette really inspired me, I think it was the colors reminded me of old paper and.. an idea was born! In order to stay as close to the palette as possible I desaturated the colors and did a lot of shading to create an aged effect. The pages in the book are created with vintage papers that are warped and made to look like part of the book. The loose letters are medieval manuscripts and a handwritten copy of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. Being the history geek I am I had to stay true to the medieval period. That's the fun thing about Photoshop is you can include any non copyrighted images on the web and many items from museums are available for downloading. The key on the page is medieval from the British Museum. The flowers are actual pressed flowers. The font is called Porcelain and I fell in love with it, if you would like to download it for free you can find it here.
Thanks so much for visiting!
