I have wanted to scrap this second photo from Monica Teurlings' photo shoot of my daughter but, I really couldn't figure out what I wanted to do. Finally, I was looking around Etsy.com for some vintage lace and ribbon and I came across a gorgeous corset by "Olgaitaly" and that was my inspiration for the page. It's really fun to see them side by side. I tried to add some feathers but it didn't look right. I started with the Dusty Attic dress form and I cut off the bottom (I hated to cut it) but, I wanted a different look then the dressy, flowing original form. I painted the dress form with black acrylic paint and prayed that thing would stay together. I traced the bodice and made a little corset out of black paper. Next, I cut a super thin strip of pink cardstock and wet it, hoping that I could get it to bend around to shape the top of the corset. Next, I added some pink and black lace pieces and stickled them. Lastly I added the beaded trim and glued it to the underside so all you could see are the beads hanging. Hint: If any glue shows on a paper piecing you can always use a little stickle glue to cover it up.

  1. This is just soooo gorgeous! How did you make the bottom of the dressform look like it's wire? You mentioned you cut it? I'm so into dressforms right now! TIA!
